KMHC started its rehabilitation unit in 1997 with the objective of preserving patients’ residual skills from further deterioration. The centre provides residential facility for 50 female & 10 male patients. As part of vocational rehabilitation program the patients are encouraged to take part in various activities like envelop making, rosary- making, embroidery, painting, gardening etc. Besides this Social Skill Training (SST); Active Care Programme (ACP), group therapy, recreational activities, family therapy, individual counseling, creative writing etc. are organized to improve the functional level of each patient. Monitoring the program and follow- ups are carried out at regular intervals for better results.
